What is it you do exactly?
Well, I am glad you asked.
What you will see in the first couple months of interacting with me is building trust, rapport, and friendship.
Someone you can lean on to talk to and help you navigate muddy waters.
We can untangle your stressors together or just simply talk about what’s been going on in your life recently.
My goal is to become an integral part of your family.
I will communicate with your therapist and family (parents) cohesively while providing a valued friendship, sympathetic ear, and guidance.
Simultaneously updating the therapist and family when something is brought to my attention that I believe should be discussed further in a therapy session with a licensed therapist.
All of us working together for a better you.
Do you do in person one-on-one sessions?
Depends where you are located.
Southeastern CT is best place to be for in person one-on-one sessions with me.
Other options can be discussed on your first call to check possibility.
Does the client have access to rides/vehicle to meet me? If so, this can be of help if you are a little further away from me we could meet in the middle.
So are you a therapist?
No, I am not a therapist. In the past I have had the opportunity to work in a therapeutic school, work with special ed. students with my Masters in special ed., and work with families and therapists directly to better the lives of clients.
Do you accept insurance money?
Unfortunately, I do not.
These services are privately funded.
What would an in person one-on-one session look like?
Depending on where you are located I would be able to come directly to the home of the client.
Organize at home living spaces, grab a bite to eat, taking walks, playing sports (having a catch, shooting hoops, biking, kayaking, working out, etc.)
Time spent per visit: 90 minutes (not including travel time)
Cost (including visit + travel): $200
Prices subject to change due to location of client.
Only ONE in-person visit per month is granted, keep in mind it is difficult to keep up with the demand of one-on-one in person sessions.
Clients must have an active Package 1 or Package 2 to receive an in-person one-on-one session per month.
