How AJ’s journey began…
AJ has been in the education field for over seven years and possesses a strong passion for working with individuals, ranging from kids to young adults. He earned his undergraduate degree in Exercise Science from Southern Connecticut State University, while concurrently playing on the baseball team throughout his duration there. After graduating, AJ worked at a therapeutic boarding school, while simultaneously earning his master’s degree in Special Education. As a counselor/teacher, AJ worked directly with students with social-emotional difficulties, serving as a mentor, educator, and coach.
Currently, AJ works full time as a sports medicine teacher at his alma mater, New London High School. He thoroughly enjoys coaching and has coached many sports over the years, including cross country, baseball, girls’ softball, and golf. AJ also holds some past experience coaching children in the Special Olympics.
In his free time, AJ loves staying active by playing many hours of golf, exercising, and bringing his dog, Malcolm, to the beach. He currently resides in Waterford, CT, where he was born and raised. AJ is known for having an outgoing, positive personality and loves being a part of a helping profession.
